Pink Saturday - Vintage Embroidered Pillowcases

Today for Pink Saturday I am showing this beautiful pair of Vintage Pillowcases I have. They are in excellent condition, so crisp and clean and I just love all the pink embroidery on them!

Here is a close up of that cute butterfly!

The Pink flowers are so pretty too!

This is going to be the next thing I learn how to do! I just love embroidered pillowcases, especially in my guest bedroom!

Happy Pink Sat!!!!

I LOVE those pillow cases---and I know you will love learning to create some, too. Pillow cases and tea towels were the first items my mom taught us to embroidery.. . . wish I had some of my early attempts.

Have a great weekend! dana

I always think about the person that sits and carefully stitches the beautiful embellishment. So special. Happy Pink Saturday!

Those remind me so much of the ones my grandmother used to make for us. I had a whole cedar chest full of them for when I got married. They are so beautiful!

I grew up embroidering pillow cases. That is how my mom taught us how to embroider. I still have some that Lillian embroidered too. I love them also.

Happy Pink Sat. Anne
Please give Buster a big hug for me from Bella. The pink plates I found at the Salvation Army. I bought the lot of them for 8.00 yeah. The name on the back is very interesting since I'm a Canadian...it reads Johnson Bros. made in Eng. Then it says: Sovereign: Decorated in Canada Revelation v89-61
Oh and I love fresh crisp embroidered pillow cases.
Have a great weekend Anne

Ann, these are so pretty. I love that butterfly. I used to embroider when I was a child, but I haven't done it in many years.

Happy Pink Saturday.

Your pillow cases are beautiful! What detail!
I hope to learn how to embroider someday too! Then I could make up a Barbie pattern and embroider her on everything!
Have a wonderful Sunday, Lindsey

Hi Anne, better late than never they say. Your butterfly embroidered pillow cases are beautiful. You just don't see that craft going on today. I have lots of embroidered laundry things from the 1950's. I love the work put in those things.

Hugs...Jeanne

Pretty pillow cases! I am always toying with the idea of stitching some. It's a round-to-it item....sigh!
