Pink Saturday's PINK Plantation Belle

It's Saturday today and that means it's a day to post PINK along with Beverly at How Sweet the Sound and all the other pink ladies!
This is my very lovely #1 Brunette Barbie. She was made in 1959 and she is the first style Barbie ever made! I have dressed her in the PINK outfit called Plantation Belle.
Look how beautiful her face is and I just love that PINK Straw Hat and her PINK pearl necklace!
Here is her matching PINK Straw Purse! Even Barbie back in 1959 liked PINK too!

Show Us Your Roosters Party!

Thanks to Barb at Bella Vista today she is hosting a Show Us Your Roosters Party! Be sure to go visit her and see all the other participates. There are over 200 of us!

I love Roosters. Everything in my kitchen is centered around Roosters and Hens. From spoon rests, salt and pepper shakers, rolling pins to statues, plates, cups, dish towels, lamps, if it has a rooster on it, it's in my kitchen!

This is a Stained Glass Window that I made about 7 years ago. I love how the sunlight shines through it!
I have dishes of Roosters all around the tops of the windows
All my canister sets are Rooster themed too! My Lamps in the Kitchen are all Roosters too!
My Wallpaper around part of the kitchen has the cutest Hens all over it! I love odd things with Roosters like this Rolling Pin This is one side of my Kitchen, Roosters on all the shelves This is the other side I also have some corner shelves that I keep some of my Salt and Pepper Shakers of Roosters on them This is the cabinet where I keep all my Rooster Dishes This is where I keep all my Table Clothes and Table Runners. And yes, they all have Roosters on them! Here are a few close up shots of some of my other Roosters

And this last picture says it all how crazy I am for Roosters.......

Blue Monday - Pretty Blue Vintage Hankies

It's Blue Monday again and its time to post about something Blue!

The other day I was on Etsy looking to buy some fabric and I came across these very pretty blue hankies for sale. I just couldn't resist buying them, the price was great too!
Here is a close up of each one. I love all the pretty blue delicate looking flowers on them
I love displaying my hankies. In my laundry room I have pretty french doors leading outside to my patio area. I wanted some kind of valance on it, but not one to take away my view of my garden. So I have a rope line running across the top of the doors and I hang my hankies on it and I secure them with vintage clothes pins. Not only am I displaying my vintage hankies but it looks so cute! Here is a picture of one of the blue ones!

Show and Tell Friday - Addicted to Platters

I haven't participated in Show and Tell for a few months so I thought I would join in with Kelli at There's No Place Like Home. Be sure to go visit her and see all the other participants!

I went to grab one of my platters today for a Women's Relief Society Pool Party and I never realized before how much I love huge platters. I am always buying one but the problem is where do you keep them all?
My Country Kitchen has this built in cabinet that I keep my Platters in. I place them 4 or 5 deep on a wooden plate rack. I purchased these wooden plate racks from a kitchen store that uses them to display plates for sale.
I opened one of the doors and I snapped a few pictures of a few of the Platters. You can see the wooden plate racks they are sitting on. Behind each platter are about 4 more. This really works well and you can rotate the platters for display.

During a Holiday I bring all the Platters forward for that Holiday!
