Show and Tell Friday - Homemade Stepping Stones

It's Friday today so that means it's Show and Tell Friday over at Kelli's Blog.
Since spring is just around the corner, I have been busy in my craft room making things for my garden. Here are some stepping stones I have made.

This is the plastic circle mold I use to put cement into. You can reuse it over and over.

I mix premixed cement with water that I buy at Home Depot. This is how it looks when it comes out of the mold.

I then start to glue onto the top using Weldbond Glue things I want in my design. I use broken china plates, broken glass, tile, ceramic hearts, etc. After the Weldbond glue has dried with all your pieces in place, it's now time to grout. I buy white sanded grout from Lowes. It comes in a bag and you mix it with water. You spread it all over making sure it's in all the cracks, then wipe it. After the grout has dried, you then seal it with a tile sealer for outdoors.

Vintage Thingie Thursday - Vintage China Plates

It's Vintage Thingie Thursday today hosted by Suzanne at Colorado Lady.

I love to collect vintage plates and display them. Some might say I am a plateaholic! I have bought most of my plates on ebay. I hate paying the postage so a lot of times I buy multiply ones from one seller and combine shipping.

Not only do I like to display them, I also break them and let's just say, rearrange them before I displaying them again? Like in this picture!

Here's a table and birdhouse I broke the vintage china plates and I mosaic them back on

Bloomin' Tuesday - Spring is in the Air!

It's Bloomin' Tuesday over at Green Thumb Jean's Blog. She invites all us garden friends to also post what is blooming in our garden today.

It looks like spring is in the air at Anne Fannie's Green Acres. We have had warm and cold days then warm and cold days, etc. Some of my plants are starting to look really good for February! I have also noticed birds starting to make their nest in some of my bird houses!

My daffodils are blooming in different colors. My favorite is the ones with the orange center

Did you know that gophers and ground squirrels do not mess with daffodils?I just love this yellow rose bush. I don't know the name of it because it was here when I bought the place. It has really long stems, does anyone know the name? I love Marigold flowers. I really like the fact that the rabbits, gophers and ground squirrels don't like to eat them either. Probably because they smell awful! My daisy bushes are starting to bloom like crazy. I forgot to take a picture of the yellow and white bushes. These are the pink and purple daisy bushes.

I planted these snapdragons last September and they survived all winter long and now they are starting to bloom more flowers. I surround them with rocks because the gophers suck them in the ground! I watched in amazement one day while my beautiful snap dragons were sucked in the ground by a gopher. I thought it only happened in cartoons! This next picture is ground cover I have. During spring, the flowers are so full that it looks like a carpet of color! You can tell it is starting to get full of blooms. Thanks for stopping by my blog on Bloomin' Tuesday. Don't forget to visit Jean at Ms Green Thumb Jean's blog for other Bloomin' Tuesday participants!

Blue Monday

Today is Blue Monday over at Smiling Sally's Blog. It's a day where we join in the fun and post a picture of something blue!

This is a section of my master bathroom room next to my sunken tub. My bathroom has royal blue tile so I have decorated the built in shelves with blue decor. My home was built with a Victorian Country style.

Stain Glass has been added to my cabinet doors with blue flowers

Here's some other blue items in the bathroom

Pink Saturday - Pink Spring Wreath

I know it's a little early for spring but today it got to 82 degrees so I am getting spring fever!

So today for Pink Saturday I am showing my new Pink Spring Wreath on my front door.

It has a cute white feather bird

And also a pretty yellow butterfly nestled in all the pink flowers

The bow on top is made out of different pink ribbon

I also should mention that I made it the other day with artificial flowers that I found in my craft room while cleaning it. What a great way to get rid of clutter!

Vintage Thingie Thursday - Vintage Jewelry

Today for Vintage Thingie Thursday I thought I would post pictures of some Vintage Jewelry I got from my Mom. I like to collect vintage jewelry for my crafts so one day my Mom gave me some old costume jewelry she has had for years. After looking at it when I got home, I decided not to use it in crafts but to save it and give them one day to my Grand daughter Harper and to my niece Amber.

This piece is my favorite, it has pink and burgundy stones set as a brooch. My Mom said she has had it for over 60 years!

This one is a set of some old clip on earrings

This set is a brooch with matching clip-on earrings

These are some old brooches

This is a old brooch with rhinestones

This is a set of matching rhinestone pins
