Vintage Thingie Thursday - Vintage Garden Thingies

Today for Vintage Thingie Thursday I am going to post pictures of some vintage garden thingies I have. I am so sorry for the people under snow and ice in parts of the US but I live in Southern California and the weather has been beautiful and in January I start to prepare my garden for spring.

Last week I was at a huge swap meet in Arizona and I picked up these vintage old wash tubs sitting on a old stand with wheels. I couldn't wait to put them in my garden. Here it is and I have planted snapdragons, pansies and stock inside them.

In the background of the above picture you can see my vintage bed. I have turned it into a flower bed and I have added some pansies as the pillow.

The area I live in use to be orange groves and avocado groves. I have found some old vintage smudge pots behind a old building near me. I have put several of them in different places in my garden, I think they have character! This is a old vintage pitch fork that I added a birdhouse on it and stuck it into the ground

I love adding things like this to a garden. I was on the lookout all last summer for pots and planters at estate sales - I didnt find anything last year but this summer I'll start over. Im wanting to replace all the things in plastic

happy vtt!

It's so nice to see flowers at this point in winter! I love your flower bed. I've always wanted to make one. Instead I just have a few metal headboards throughout my gardens. The old washtubs look spectacular! I'm already planning what to put in my pots this summer!
Happy VTT!

You have utilized some very vintage things into your garden. They all look great as you have used them. You had your mind really working to think of all these ideas. Nice job.

I love your garden bed...the pansies pillows are even more beautiful than applique pansies!

Great to see a beautiful garden in the winter...here too, everything is green and luscious-very different than the northern US!

I LOVE all of it, your smudge pots and your bed with pansies for pillows. Is the rest of the bed sedums? I tried to enlarge it to tell but it wouldn't get bigger. Great garden stuff!!!

Love, love, love your garden bed! I have wanted to make one of those since seeing some in Portland about 10 years ago but I haven't yet. You just might be my inspiration to get it done. Also adore the tubs. I love galvanized metal in the garden! Thanks for sharing!
