Show and Tell Friday - Fall Decorations

Today is Show and Tell Friday. I thought I would show my Fall Decorations on my front porch.

I keep my fall decorations out till Thanksgiving. This weekend I will put out my Halloween decorations. It takes me two days to put them out. I put out a graveyard with about 20 full size headstones. It is really the sight. We do not get Trick or Treaters because we are so far off the road but all my visitors enjoy looking. Please check back with me next week for those pictures. Thanks for visiting me today on Show and Tell Friday. Please go visit Kelli's House for more!

I joined a very fun Vintage Halloween Swap hosted by Heidi Ann at Foxgloves Fabrics. Today we are to post our gifts we received in the mail.

I not only received a wonderful gift, but I have made friends with a very special, friendly and talented person.

My swap partner was Lynn from the Vintage Nest.

Lynn has a cute online Boutique called The Vintage Nest. It is full of vintage and antique decor

She made this adorable Halloween Crown for me Only Good Witches can wear it on Halloween

The Crown even came with a special card commemorating the Halloween Swap!

She also sent me these adorable handmade Halloween Tags. Aren't they cute? A cute little book called "It's a Happy Thing"Some nuts and some Emergency Chocolate candy, mmm...good....

What's Blooming in the Garden Today!

It's October and the weather here in Southern California is still warm. I still have so much color in my garden. It seems like summer has been extended!

This is a huge vine I have growing on one of my fences. It was here when we purchased the house so I do not know the name of it. It is completely covered with these beautiful pink blooms. It only blooms during the fall months and the other months of the year its green and grows like crazy.

Does anyone know the name of it?

Purple Stock

Pink Hibiscus

Red Hibiscus

Apricot Hibiscus

Pink full Rose Bush

Pink Hydrangeas

Bird of Paradise. I love this plant. They are all blooming right now. I like to cut them and put them in a tall glass vase in the house. They look stunning!

Pink Saturday

Another Pink Saturday is here! Today we post pictures of Pink things!

This is something that I treasure very much. This is a statue of two angels, dressed in pink with pink wings. They represent two best friends that are Angels. Maryjane at the Beehive Cottage gave this to me years ago. One has blonde hair and one has brown hair just like us. Along with it comes a little framed saying: Be Still....be still.....and you will hear an ANGEL whisper, "Love is near"

This is a Vintage Brooch that belonged to my Mother. She gave it to me recently. It's hard to tell in the picture but it is a very deep PINK. I am so blessed to have her give me this keepsake. I will pass it down to my Grand daughter Harper one day This is a PINK jeweled Plant Stake that I have made. It looks great in a pot with PINK flowers! I just can't post without a picture of some PINK flowers in my yard......

Here is a cute little PINK birdhouse I noticed in my yard today. I made it and painted it years ago. You can see some nest twigs hanging out of it from this past summerFor more PINK Saturday posts, please go visit Beverly at How Sweet the Sound!
