Today I am joining Beth over at Gypsy Fish Journal for Silver Sunday!
I thought I would show pictures of the cutest Garden Markers I have made out of old silver spoons.
The letters are hand stamped (using a hammer) with jewelers alphabet letters and then you use black markers to fill inside! The silver spoons can be found at flea markets and garage sales.

love them!
I would love to have some of these!
Oh my goodness! This is the greatest thing I've seen in a very long time. I can also see them used in tablescapes with names on them...Girl.. you are soooo creative. Would love to have the talent to do this... Thought I would share with you , mother would have been 81 today.. I lost her in 1987. What a comfort she would be to me now with Mr. P going through all he's going through. I'm so glad you still have your mother and can share your thoughts and dreams with her.. many many hugs ~lynne~
Oh so cute! Just love them, this could be used for lots of things too couldn't it...just darling! Come say hi :D
Oh Anne those are absolutely ADORABLE!!! LOVE them!
I have done this before, but never knew to color in the recessed areas and wondered why mine didn't shop up very well! Thank you for the explaination.... Yours are great!

I ♥♥♥ your garden markers!
Oh I love these! I keep seeing stamped silver and want to try it but can't justify buying one more art supply until I use more of what I already own! They must look so cool in your garden. ~ Theresa
Now we just need to find some jewelers letters. Where did you ever get those?
Wonderful idea. I already have the spoons and stamps. Now I need to find the time! Your pink pigs are the cutest. Mimi
Those are incredible, Anne! I would LOVE to make some but I wouldn't have the slightest idea where to get the jewelers tools!
Wonderful Silver Sunday post!

Ohhhhh..... I NEED some! Cute!
How timely I just saw your post. Last night I was reading the new Country Living and saw knives being used as garden markers, engraved the same way. I was trying to figure out how the letters were done. Thank you for sharing.
I've always wanted one of those spoons...just love them.
Thanks for playing along...See you next Sunday for season 2 and the SS giveaway reveal.

These are adorable! Are you going to be selling them?
Just the cutest! ~ Angela
These markers are so nice!! I have seen them before and thought about making some, but was not sure how to do it. Others have already asked, but can you let us know where you got the jeweler's stamps? Maybe one day you can do a post letting us know exactly how to make them. :)
Thanks,
~~Anne
Beautiful work!
