Show and Tell Friday

Today is Show and Tell Friday hosted by Kelli at There's No Place Like Home

At one of the ends of my kitchen counter I have this cute wooden Bird House that is painted to match my kitchen. The mouth of the bird house is a cut out heart and the roof is tin with a cute little bird sitting on top!

This is a great place to keep all your plastic grocery bags hidden from sight yet they are instantly at your fingertips when you need one!

What's Blooming in the Garden Today

Today is Blooming Tuesday!
The weather today in Southern California was around 95 degrees, very unusual for the middle of November, the air is so smokey from the Firestorm devastation that hit our area the last few days, this morning we had two small earthquakes which was centered south east from me, one was 4.1 and the other was 3.8. What's next? The Locust?

Let's go out in the garden and see what's blooming today. I still have lots of color in my garden because of all the warm weather we are still having.
The Mum's are still blooming and are looking great!
All my Rose Bushes still have many blooms on them. Here are pictures of just a few of them

My Geraniums bloom all year long

Here are some other flowers worth showing today too

Pink Saturday

Today is another Pink Saturday where we are to show items that are PINK! This fun day is hosted by Beverly at How Sweet the Sound.

The first thing I did this Pink Saturday morning was go out and pick a beautiful bouquet of pink flowers from my yard. I love fresh flowers around the house, especially when they are the fruits of my labor!

Here is the pink bouquet of freshly picked flowers in my bedroom on one of the dressers. My bedroom is done in soft blues and pinks and I also just love that wallpaper strip in those colors that go all around the room!
A couple of weeks ago I went Antique shopping with my friend Lorrie and I picked up these darling pink vintage hankies
I just love this flower plate with pink edges. It's great to serve fresh baked cookies on it for guests

I have a collection of Vintage Valentine planters from the 50s. This is one of them that has pink on it along with the red and white. I just think she is just adorable.

Thanks for visiting me on Pink Saturday. Please don't forget to go visit Beverly at How Sweet the Sound for more Pink Saturday posts!

Show and Tell Friday

Today is Show and Tell Friday hosted by Kelli at There's no place Like Home.

I am going to post pictures of some really fun and easy bags and tags I have been making lately.

I like to make bags, tags and cards for the whole year. Then as I need them I just grab them and use them.

These are some Tags I have made out of Flower vintage postcard pictures
Here are some close up shots of some of them

I print the picture I want on card stock. I then cut it out to the desired shape, punch a hole in the top, stamp it with a postage stamp, ink the edges and tie a matching ribbon. On some of them I will add touches of colored glitter glue and I also stamp the back of the tag to say TO: and FROM:
I also make gift bags out of plain or colored Paper Bags. I fold the top down and punch two holes to tie ribbon. I then glue on the bag a picture along with different color layers of paper like you would a greeting card. I make a matching tag of the same picture that I put on the bag.

Here some close up pictures

Here are some Thanksgiving gift tags I made to add to the cookies and goodies I make to give away
These are some Birthday Tags I have made

And last, here are some Christmas Gift Bags with matching tags I have made for my holiday gifts
