Pink Saturday's PINK Plantation Belle

It's Saturday today and that means it's a day to post PINK along with Beverly at How Sweet the Sound and all the other pink ladies!
This is my very lovely #1 Brunette Barbie. She was made in 1959 and she is the first style Barbie ever made! I have dressed her in the PINK outfit called Plantation Belle.
Look how beautiful her face is and I just love that PINK Straw Hat and her PINK pearl necklace!
Here is her matching PINK Straw Purse! Even Barbie back in 1959 liked PINK too!

Happy Pink Saturday!

Love this Barbie! So elegant!
I have one that it's a princess and wears a crown...
Never had one as a girl...they were very expensive.

Oh...right up my alley. Just seeing these old Barbie dolls brings back memories of playing for hours with my Barbie dolls. I never owned any outfit quite that exquisite...but wish I had! The detailing is unbelievable. Great post!

OMG!! That is a face from the past!! My sister had that very Barbie, too. I recall she came in a striped swim suit. The plantation attire is wonderful, however, and I love her straw bag!! Happy Pink Saturday!! L, Dana

Oh I remember my first Barbie too. She had the bubble cut hair. So pretty and such fun to play with. Wonder what ever happened to her. Happy Pink Saturday, Char

Oh you have a REAL collector's item there! My daughter is still ticked at me for giving her Barbies to her cousin. She had one of the originals too.

I love your Barbie doll! I remember playing with my 1959 blonde hair Barbie. I cut, shampooed and styled her hair and made doll houses and clothes for her! Just a couple of weeks ago, I got her out again, found a lady in CA who restores Barbies and sent her on a little spa vacation (restoration). Can't wait to get her back. Good memories. I love your Barbie's Planataion dress. Do you have a source for vintage clothing? I don't have any original clothes for my Barbie. Thanks, Kathi (Atlanta)
