Bloomin' Tuesday - Pink Magnolia Bush

Today for Bloomin' Tuesday I thought I would post pictures of my Magnolia Bush in Bloom! This is blooming very early this year due to the warm days in the 80s we had in January. We have had lots of rain these last couples of days, rain that we needed so badly!

My Pink Magnolia Bush

The flower blooms are so deep pink and so pretty

This bush first blooms with flowers and they last around 3 weeks, then the flowers die and the bush starts getting all it's big green leaves. The leaves fall off in Fall and it stays bare until spring when the blooms start to appear and the flowers bloom. This is one of my favorite bushes in my garden. I get so excited when it blooms because I know spring is not to far away!

Oh it is gorgeous!! I planted a Magnolia last year, and although it hasn't bloomed yet, it made it through the coldest days here without losing a green leaf. I can't wait to see the blooms, alhtough it is white, not that gorgeous pink of yours!

How beautiful they are. I hope the elephant ears will grown in my garden. I see them in other people's gardens so it should be alright. Come visit me again soon.

That is amazing, Ann... I've never seen a pink bloom like that!!
My Dad has a huge magnolia in his front yard, and I used to love to smell the blooms on it- do these smell as good as the white?

Your Magnolia is beautiful. I have one outside my condo window and it makes me so happy. Do you happen to know what kind it is? My neighbor wants to cut it down and I thought it might help to give her information on what it is. She is a sweet woman but wants the outside to be 'perfect'. Clean, no mess, shaped perfectly, etc. This magnolia is a bit bare but it is beautiful. Thanks for any information you have.
