Nothing is more relaxing then to sit by a Koi pond and watch your Koi swim. I can sit for hours on that bench and watch my beloved fish. My pond is about 3500 gallons. I tried to get it all in the picture, but its shaped in a kidney shape and you can barely see the huge waterfall in the back corner. I have about 46 Koi in the pond right now. Their sizes are from 5" to 12". I just love the water Irises when they bloom. My lily pads are just starting to bloom from a winter sleep.

Like Charlie, I love your Koi pond! Earlier in my marriage I desperately wanted a koi pond, but it became a "divorce" subject (not really, but close!) I wanted one so badly I couldn't see straight! My husband told me it was too much maintenance and having a cat, the koi would be in danger. Rats! I don't like it when my husband is the sound of reason! Thanks for stopping by my blog. Yes, definitely consider the vintage jewelry you have before using them in your projects!
Harper wants to know where the fish are.
Tell my darling little Granddaughter Harper that the fish were asleep when Grandma took the picture.
It is so beautiful. We have a 100 gallon pond just under our family room window. It is nowhere as beautiful as yours but the cascade makes a wonder sound. All the kids love it and consider it there fortress of solitude. Our granddaughter takes a book out there and sits on the bench to read. It is very pleasant to listen to. I think you have a gorgeous landscape, so many beautiful aspects.
Amazing! I found your blog when I started looking for more information on the Koi ponds. I have about a 16 ounce pond! OK - so mine is in miniature. Not as hard to build, and instead of feeding I just have to dust the top off from time to time.
