  1. My Dear Miss Anne Fannie!

Your Front Porch looks like it is out of a magazine, but I know personally it is not, but by all means could be and should be! It is gorgous in everyway! And an inspiration to all who come to visit! Make sure you wave hello to my dear hubby the next time he drives by going to work! I must come soon and sit with you for a spell!

    Love ya tons,

  6. What a gorgeous home and porch! Your colors are pretty much what I have picked out. (Do you recall the paint color of your door and chairs?)
I love the brick floor. Your hedges leading up to the steps are so inviting. Well done! I could dawdle here all day!

  7. Oh my! That's a gorgeous porch!! Your home is beautiful :)

My mom had an old farmhouse that we restored a few years back and we named it green acres too.

I read below that you want a chicken. I want one too and my hubby won't let me have one either! What is it with men and chickens?? LOL

Thank you for sharing your porch. I've so enjoyed it :)

  14. So gorgeous--
ours is much simpler. In fact, we don't even sit on our front porch. We had it built small to aid people trying to find a seat!!They are all out on the patio! The sign out front says, "Please join us on the patio". It also says "No Smoking"
I would love to sit on your porch for a spell.
'Come sit with me by the garden's gate.
We'll chat a spell. My work can wait.'

  20. Anne Fannie,
Well, first of all Green Acres is the place to be...
Your porch is lovely and all of the items on the porch are beautiful too. So much room and I love the bricks.

I would love to come sit a very long spell there, especially with all the animals you have. No Arnold the pig though? I'm going to come back and read your posts some more and see about this 100% Italian (lucky you - do you have an authentic gelato recipe??). I bet so ;) I also want to read up on all the four-legged friends you've got. My I want a parrot too - we had a yellow naped Amazon when I was a kid - quite a personality. In other words, you've guessed my animals are spoiled themselves too - the only way to be.

Okay, I came over here to gush about your beautiful porch - and it is - thanks for sharing!
    Happy night!

  31. Oh Anne I absolutely love your home and your garden and your flowers and your yard junk! I scrolled back through your blog and found your vintage hankies - I collect them and have used some for a kitchen valance in the past just like yours! I've also used a few to make a quilt for one of my granddaughters. I put them around candles and tie them up with raffia or I lay one on a table and sit candles on it.......I just love them everywhere! I visited a quilt store once where the owner had tied them all over her Christmas tree - it was so wispy and romantic looking! Wish I could think of some other ways to use them - any ideas?

I planted my very first hyrangea last year and it is full of blue blooms this year. Such a lovely old fashioned flower.

Thank you for your sweet thoughts about Colton. Yes, I am so very thankful for all my sweet blogging friends who encourage and support each other. And so very thankful to the Lord who keeps us in His care!

  45. Hello Anne Fannie, would you believe I am still trying to visit everyones porches. We have company that are here for ten days. My time isn't my own right now.

Your home and long...porch is so beautiful. Your decorating is so lovely and appropriate for the style of your home. It is the kind of setting I just love.

Thank you for visiting my mountain view. That rainbow happens a few times a year. It is an amazing moment when it happens.

  50. Beautiful Annie!!! I love your porch...so pretty and inviting!! Mine needs work for sure...I wish I had a nice big porch. I have to get by with my little back yard patio for my "sit a spell place"
I LOVED the chicken hat on the cat!! The first time I got goats it was after leaving little "goat hints" everywhere for my husband for 6 months at least...he didn't want them and I did...he had little stuffed goats in his jacket pocket, little wood goats on the dash of his car, goat stickers in his notebooks, you name it...he finally caved...maybe a hat for the dog too???haha
    Have a great week!!!
