Blue Monday - Distressed American Framed Flag

For Blue Monday today I thought I would post pictures of a distressed looking American Flag that I have displayed in one of my rooms at our vacation home on the Colorado River in Parker, Arizona.

I bought a unfinished frame and painted it blue and I distressed that to look old too. I added wire as the hanger on top attached to two eye hooks. The background of stars is material I have also framed and attached the flag to it. You can't tell in the picture but this is a large size picture frame.

    I love the look of distressed wood - frames, cupboards, tables. The frayed corners of the flag was an inspiration too! Well done!

    Somehow the unfinished edges makes it more charming and perfect is the frame for it.
