Another Show and Tell Friday

Today is Show and Tell Friday. I thought I would show some of my Roosters I collect in my kitchen.

Everything in my kitchen is Roosters from the napkins to the dishes to the rugs, etc.

I have high ceilings and high cabinets in my kitchen. This Rooster is huge but it looks small up on top of the cabinets. This was my first Rooster to my collection. My husband gave it to me on my birthday about 12 years ago.

Here you can tell how tall that Rooster is, those other Roosters are over a foot tall and they look tiny compared to him. I have Roosters on every shelf and every plate or bowl.

I also have Rooster plates all around the top of the windows and doors

I had to promise my husband, no Roosters outside the kitchen.....

I keep some of my Rooster salt and pepper shakers on this side shelf

I just love this Rooster Roaster. I have dishes and bowls to match it and I use it during the Fall months

If you want to see more Show and Tells, go on over to Kelli's House!

  9. You have a lot of wonderful roosters. I couldn't help but think about our recent trip to Kauai when I saw all your roosters because there are so many of them running around on that island. I brought a pretty mug home from there with a rooster on it. It's my favorite mug. I just now got through drinking my morning coffee from it.

  10. Roosters are one of my favorite things. I grew up on a farm and my grandparents had several Banty roosters with the colorful feathers. I have a few roosters around here.

My kitchen has a lot of cows, but when I redo it, I'm thinking of doing roosters. They are so colorful. I plan on doing red & white, so the roosters would fit right in.

Enjoyed visiting with you. A lovely show and tell.

    Blessings,
    Mary

  23. It's all so charming. I think I like the plates on the walls best. No, the box with the painted roosters. I can't make up my mind.

Well, where I live we're now 'downgraded' to tropical storm warning. Which is great news from our vantage point, but where our son lives it's another story...Houston is still in line for the 'big hit' later tonight or early Saturday morning. And we still have power. I've been trying to get as much work done around the house just in case water or power goes out before this storm hits land...I'm done. All I can do that is humanly possible. We've shuttered the windows up and just wait for the worst to pass us.

Thanks again, for your thoughts and prayers.

  25. Roosters have made such a comeback. When I was a little girl my grandmother had two huge lamps that were roosters. Everyone thought they were ugly but she loved them. I think they got sold in a yard sale for a few bucks after she died. In all my visits to antique stores and such I have never seen any like them.Wish I had gotten them :( Your collection is great!
